So my girlfriend has decided to get a new laptop. I'm leaning towards lenovo because we had one of their business class ones at work and it was top notch. I really liked the sturdy construction on it. I'm her tech support so no worries about how good lenovo's is, though I am curious.
So I found this one and I'm pretty close to buying it. Great feature set, everything she needs. Looked at the business class ones and they are a bit more than she wants to spend, but I could talk her into spending a bit more. Maybe a grand? Like the sturdiness of the business class ones but from what I can tell the edge is close. Here's the one I found, $729: Thinkpad edge 15" heaywave red glossy *System components* Intel® Core i3-330M Processor ( 2.13GHz 1066MHz 3MB ) Genuine <http://www.microsoft.com/genuine> Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Intel HD Graphics *3 GB* PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1066MHz 15.6 " HD AntiGlare 1366x768 UltraNav 320GB 7200 DVD Recordable (Dual Layer) 6 Cell Lithium-Ion Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Link 1000 Bluetooth Version 2.1 + EDR None One year Like the i3 processor for its small fab process, low power usage. Good size hd, though we will put in a ssd ones prices drop significantly. Wanted to upgrade the ram but it's stuck at 3, 1 2 gig stick, 1 1 gig stick. Oh well. Her must haves are: 15 inch screen windows 7 I would really prefer i3/i5 and 3 gigs min, 4/6 gigs preferred. Casual computer use: dvd and music playback to tv, casual gaming(no 3d required), web. As close to $800 as possible. Anything else out there? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
