I always liked Jay's standup more than his tonight show comedy, but he made a good host.
I liked Conan's old show the best. Lost a lot of sleep watching him. But I think Conan stunk up The Tonight Show. His humor never felt right or comfortable. The Tonight Show, I admit, I expect to have a little more class, to have a Rat Pack styling and a very broad appeal, and to be less juvenile. The show didn't work for me. And although lately I have not liked all of Jay's guests, I like the show better with him back.
