I'm not going to say yeah or nay. Could be the ROE was different back then. I know during Desert Shield/Storm we were amber until the ground invasion, then we went red. Of course at that time I was a TC in a 113 and back then the M2 did not have a safety (except the round stuck between the butterflies and the back plate).
