I used to do a website for a local guy who is an engineer that went blind later in life. He decided to flow forward with his engineering work (he's a college professor) so he created a braille scientific calculator. The company he started to produce that work then went on to do cool printers and one of the things they did was a braille printer that did images and used varying height to indicate tonal shades. Really cools tuff.
