Personally I trust the government about as far as I trust big coorporations, which is to say not at all. The government is probably the single most corrupt organization in the nation and big corporations see us as nothing more than a means to make money regardless of any harm done in pursuit of that goal. Insurance companies in particular are among the biggest offenders of that, but I don't believe it'd be any better (or worse) under a fully government run program.
