The Tanakh is actually several books in one...the Torah is the actual holy
scripture part...hence the reason they parade around the Torah and use it to
bless, not the Tanakh or the Talmud or any of the other books that are
mostly commentaries on the Torah...  The old Testament is a modified version
of the Torah and is even referred to as the Hebrew Cannon as it consists of
books that are also found in the Torah...though the Torah has others not
included in the OT.

We're not talking about just the Torah we're talking about the what
christians refer to as the new testament. I could call it the Tanakh
but I figured most wouldn't know what that meant.
