no, I had Canadian history classes that taught me that the patriots
lost to British invaders. I would have been a bit perturbed at classes
that taught me that this was a manifestation of the obvious rightness
of British empire. I imagine that Hispanic or Native American kids
might deserve better than the Texan fundamentalist equivalent.
