Not necessarily...they can look you up and see if you have a valid license.
They can use those some connected computers to look up and see what your
immigration status is or if you are a US citizen.  I would say a big flag is
if your name isn't in the system, then they can say, hey, we need more info.
I doubt that a us citizen, or someone that is here legally, would fall under
that category.

Driving without a license? I think that's a ticket.
They don't arrest you, they put your name in the computer and your
picture pops up. If not they call immigration and they find a way to
confirm your legality.
