Except of course when the people making the laws are corporatists, then the
interests of business come first, people a distant third...

And I agree with Jerry. Government should take a light hand with
business. However, Businesses *are not people*. I want everyone to
repeat that again and again until it gets through their skulls. The
first duty of the Government is to protect the rights and welfare of
its people. The interests of business cannot trump that.
