You are pretty naïve if you think that he didn't know he was lying. Colin Powell is not stupid. He knew exactly what he was looking at. He could have told Bush and Cheney that his honor and his reputation was much more important than his career and told them to find someone else to lie for them.

When it became obvious that the case he had made before the UN was a house of cards, he resigned and has barely been heard from since. While his final act on the stage certainly tarnished his reputation, certainly in my eyes, I'm not going to say that he suddenly turned from an honorable man into a lying jackass and willingly betrayed his oath....just for the hell of it. Nope...it seems much more likely that he made a GRAVE mistake. I guess only Eric Roberts is perfect....and maybe Larry :) -- The suburbs have no charms to soothe The restless dream of youth ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology-Michael-Dinowitz/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:320046 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
