I was going to make a humorous post about an Israeli peace flotilla to
occupied Cyprus but the Kurds beat me to it. (Turkey invaded Cyprus in
'73 and has yet to leave)

Kurds to Send Flotilla Against Turkish Occupation
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/Flash.aspx/187441

The Free Kurdistan Movement, human rights group, says it is planning
the first international flotilla and motor convoy to reach
Turkish-occupied Kurdistan.

"We want to break the siege and raise international awareness about
the prison-like closure of Kurdistan. We hope to pressure the
international community to review its sanctions policy and end its
support for the continued Turkish occupation," said the group in a
statement to the press.

I'm not sure if this is a joke or not but it gets right to a point.
What will Turkey do?

As a total aside, the PKK launched rockets at a Turkish military base
a few days ago. Will Turkey treat them the same way that they want
Israel to treat Hamas? If a Palestinian state becomes a reality, can
Kurdistan be next?

"The PKK, listed as a terrorist group by Turkey and much of the
international community, took up arms in 1984 for self-rule in
Turkey's Kurdish-majority southeast, sparking a conflict that has
claimed some 45,000 lives."
