1997 Ford Explorer v6 4wd eddie bauer A while ago, my overdrive button on the end of the automatic tranny shifter(not sure what you call the thing that lets you shift from p to d etc) stopped working. I'm pretty sure there was a light that turned on when the od was on, or off. My mileage has gone down quite a bit as well. Not sure where to start looking.
My haynes manual has nothing, and google just returns people with the problem of the "od off" light flashing, nothing about not being able to turn it on. I would really like to get this fixed because of the gas money it is costing me.
