I was initially going to use @@ to denote a text field, I can't do a single
charcter... these folks get crazy with the descriptions and I've found
several instances where @@ was used, so my next thought was to go with a
non-printing character... hence the CHR(3).

Thanks to everyone again!  This makes my life so much easier!
