Depends on the application. I've see programs that use binary that reverse the places so that your 1 bit is the furthest to the left, but usually the 1 bit is on the right just like in decimal. So most of the time a binary 10 = 2.
I usually cut my sig line off when I'm replying to the list. I'm not sure why I missed it that time. -----Original Message----- From: G Money [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, June 18, 2010 11:29 AM To: cf-community Subject: Re: html5 video On Fri, Jun 18, 2010 at 11:25 AM, Sisk, Kris <[email protected]> wrote: > > There are 10 types of people in this world: those who understand binary > and those who don't. > I've never gotten this little phrase..... If I'm reading my binary right, this would read: "There are one types of people in this world.....". Wouldn't you need: "There are 01 types of people in this world...." in order to get two? Or am I just one of those people who don't understand binary :) -- Give me spots on my apples But leave me the birds and the bees ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology-Michael-Dinowitz/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:321492 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
