I see it as a warning to Iran to pipe down or get bitch-slapped hard, and a warning to Turkey (our ally in NATO) to stay out of the fight. The fleet's arrival comes just as Israel has agreed to dramatically ease the blockade of Gaza to allow more general supplies through. Rather than a ratcheting up of tensions, I see it as a statement by President Obama that we're done with all the screwing around over the blockade and we expect everyone to play nice .
