talking of that, there's an interesting phenomenon with heroin addicts. In very familiar surroundings because of their tolerance they can take really large doses that would kill anyone else. Provided they do it in familiar places. When they are somewhere that isn't familiar their normal dose will kill them. Same sized dose, totally different effects.
