I will tell you that the shouting in the elevator and lobby of my apartment has heated
up.

No blows have been struck that I have seen, but it gets scary at times.

I feel most sorry for the little kids that cower as their parents scream at each other.

Some days I take the stairs.

My apartment breakdown:
50% Pakistani (recent immigrants)
30% Indian (recent immigrants)
5% Japanese (recent immigrants - and very cute. mainly flight attendants who fly
between Boston and London)
13% Southies (South Boston Natives - picture matt damon and mark walburg with an
attitide and a pickup truck.)
  1% Kenyans (recent immigrants)

and me

:)

surprisingly (from here), according to family - things are business as usual
in India for the most part. India is not a reactionary country, nor is it
an aggressive one, politically. They've lived with this threat for some
time now... so much so that it's just a part of life (to a degree). I only
pray that things don't escalate to the point that either side stops
listening to reason.

Here's a scary article from the Washington Post:

War scenarios between Pakistan and India all seem to end in a nuclear
exchange...

Very scary...
