Meh, I'm a Linux geek. I get software just as good and often better for
free. Granted I have to set it up myself and sometimes fiddle with
config files, but I enjoy that kind of thing, so, as I said, FOR ME Mac
OS is definitely not worth the extra price tag.

yes you can, however you do not get the same feature set, and extra
programs. For instance i helped a friend set up his home theater
system recently. he used a mini for the media server. Given what comes
out of the box its a very good value.
