We're actually looking at working it in to the budget for next year - our current backup solution is working but just barely. Much has changed since it was put in to place. My only experience has been with BackupExec - I've had two different cases where I had to restore a server from one machine to another. In one case from an HP to a Dell and in another from one kind of Dell to another. In both cases the restores were seamless.
