The first paragraph of the article you cited....equated Obama's ignoring Beck's rally to his supposed track record of ignoring the people. I'm just saying that's a bullshit comparison. Beck isn't the people. 300K is a pretty small sampling of Americans......but that is a huge group to get together in one place, at one time. I wouldn't care to cast a single slogan over all of those people. I know of a few people who were drawn to the message of supporting the veterans, people who saw the rally simply as a "USA! USA!" rally. I imagine people were there for all kinds of reasons...and yeah, some of them were probably wing nuts....perhaps even a fairly large minority of them were (Beck seems to draw them in). I didn't listen to one minute of the rally, so I can't give my opinion of what went on there. My only real issue with the platform for the rally that Beck laid out leading up to it was this idea of "taking back America".....I don't feel the country has been stolen. So i dunno what he's talking about there. That sounds like kool-aid speak to get people riled up. Looks like it worked.
