I can attest to this I have a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer (need it with 3 dogs and a kid) and it's the most poorly made piece of rolling junk that I have ever had the mis-fortune of owning.
Ex: the front wheel bearings went at about 30k miles, which on my 2004 Jeep Wrangler, as an example would've been about $100 to replace the bearings, it cost $1200 because the wheel bearings are sealed into the front hubs.. The instrument cluster works...sometimes. This is an issue that Chevy knows about and refuses to issue a recall. The base platform, the Chevy Colorado has the same instrument cluster and was recalled a couple of years ago.. I can't wait to get rid of this money pit and will never buy another GM product again. -----Original Message----- From: Maureen [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, August 31, 2010 10:30 PM To: cf-community Subject: Re: how do they come up with this crud? They needed to be bailed out because for many years they produced sub-standard vehicles, and negotiated outrageous union contracts. Poor management and quality control also had a lot to do with it.
