"Sort of is one of those blindingly obvious things, given the recent crop of
Teabagger candidates."

It's too bad all conservatives and tea party people can't be as intelligent
as Rep. Hank Johnson:

"My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it
will tip over and capsize."

Larry, your open mindedness, your acceptance of others and their ideas, your
willingness to try to see the other side, your refusal to attach labels to
people and buy into stereotypes, your refusal to slander others or buy into
slander about those groups make you a model for all of us. If we all could
only be as open minded and tolerant as you.

Oh by the way, on your study. It was based on adolescence and youth:

Data from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health support
Kanazawa's hypothesis. Young adults who subjectively identify themselves as
"very liberal" have an average IQ of 106 during adolescence while those who
identify themselves as "very conservative" have an average IQ of 95 during
adolescence.

I could have told you young people are more liberal than older people. I
was a liberal democrat in up until I turned 30. Then reality set it. I
moved to the center and called myself an independent. Then I moved to the
right and called myself a Republican. Now I moved out of that part and
don't call myself anything but anti-establishment.

Hell, in this study, Kanazawa make's liberal seem like mutants:

In the current study*,* Kanazawa argues that humans are evolutionarily
designed to be conservative, caring mostly about their family and friends,
and being liberal, caring about an indefinite number of genetically
unrelated strangers they never meet or interact with, is evolutionarily
novel.

Finally, one of the main problems with "liberalism" (I hate labels because
today's liberals are so different from the origin of liberalism) is their
intellectual elitism. They believe that the know what is best so people
should just do what they say do. Fascism basically.
