Ok, how about this then. On 90% of the issues you see in politics I fall
dead center or real close to it. There are a few issues which I feel
that the correct stance is so blindingly obvious that the fact that
there's even a debate on it leaves me flabbergasted. These are the
issues which I can be said to fall into the extremes. This list has seen
a few of them in my moments of weakness, but mostly I try to keep my
opinions to myself on those issues. I have the bite marks on my tongue
to prove it. I understand perfectly well that I can't debate effectively
if I can't respect the opposing view and I'm not at all fond of the kind
of bickering you get when someone tries.

You can't average you extremism and claim the middle.
Compromise doesn't always work. Sometimes you need people to fight for
what's right and not just give in.
