It took the Catholic Church 360 years to apologize to Galileo, who spent the last ten years of his life under house arrest by the Inquisition because he was bold enough to say the earth revolved around the sun. At least he was spared the fate of Giordano Bruno, who was burned at the stake. You don't need Nazi references to describe the history of the war between science and religion.
