"I am sure if I looked close enough and cherry picked a lot I can find all
sorts of ugly examples of your so-called heroes from teh 20's and 30's as
well."

Well, of course you could. It's been SOP for progressives since the
progressive movement started.

There are unacceptable moments in history on all sides of the political
spectrum. I just personally believe that the modern left ignores and lies
about its history while trying to exploit the negative history of its
opponents. That's why I choose quotes from that spectrum.

"Better to look at the person's entire accomplishments than to cherry pick
just a few choice examples."

Great idea. You should research some of Sangers accomplishments and
failures, like the Negro project. Fortunately, it failed.

The minister's work is also important and he should be trained, perhaps by
the Federation as to our ideals and the goal that we hope to reach. We do
not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population,
and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever
occurs to any of their more rebellious members - Margaret Sanger

"Although some seem to think that that is the only way to demonstrate a
point."

Or sometimes it plants a seed that all that glitters is not gold. The seed
may foster the desire to learn the truth, on whichever side it falls,
instead of accepting canned, revisionist history.

Or that some people blatantly lie in order to get popular support while the
populace ignorantly accepts the lie as gospel.

See the quote below. The Reverend Jackson said this before he ran for
president. When he ran, all of a sudden he became pro-choice.

So, did Reverend Jackson have a change of heart or did he lie so he could
garner more support? I believe the latter.

"What happens to the mind of a person, and the moral fabric of a nation,
that accepts the aborting of the life of a baby without a pang of
conscience? What kind of a person and what kind of a society will we have 20
years hence if life can be taken so casually? It is that question, the
question of our attitude, our value system, and our mind-set with regard to
the nature and worth of life itself that is the central question confronting
mankind. Failure to answer that question affirmatively may leave us with a
hell right here on earth." - Jesse Jackson
