I can see some good uses of 3D... the ones that pop right out for me are: Yoda vs. Darth Sidious Yoda vs. Count Douku AT-AT battle on Hoth Speeder races on Tantouine Death star explosions.
Some bad ones: Jar Jar's schnozz Anakin's sulking, leading the clones The fireworks they added at the end of Return of the Jedi Until Later! C.
