She said she was running at Ron Paul when she was tripped or fell.

So she was rushing him and they grabbed her and yelled for police.
Sounds logical.

As for the guy with the foot, I do think it was uncalled for as did
the crowd. He appears to have done it in disgust and as an
overreaction. He didn't stomp her like a violent thug but applied
pressure as an angry supporter. He might have easily been coaxed to
get violent but the crowd proved better than that and he immediately
came to his senses. Just think how the crowd would have reacted if
they were democrats.
