I remember hearing reports about this in the days after the "scientific report" was initially released. What's taking these guys so long to say something about it? Oh, wait, that's right... midterms. I found this buried at http://www.wdam.com/Global/story.asp?S=13484207 : "Letters are written and sent by the DOI to the panel of scientists and experts cited in the "30-Day" report, apologizing for implying that they had reviewed and agreed with the Obama administration's six-month drilling moratorium." And from the oft-maligned FOX News: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/06/10/experts-say-obama-misrepresented-views-justify-offshore-drilling-ban/ Sometimes news is right, even of you don't like the source.
