I think that happens in most cases, but just like when cassette tapes came
out and the record industry claimed that hey were going to lose billions
since people can now pirate from albums to cassette...they would rather
complain and sue than adapt to a changing climate and reconfigure their
business model to take advantage of new technology.

Well, this has actually worked well for the music industry -- at least in my
house.  I put together a bunch of playlists that my girls ended up listening
to.  After realizing that they could put them on their iPods, we made the
obligatory trip to amazon.com to purchase said songs. :)
