Just had a friend go through a similar op, although they removed everything. As in everything. And she is "flying high" on her pain killers and doing very well. :) Our dog Spike also just came through a really bad month where she almost died. She either had a heart tumor or a bad infection. Turned out to be Periocarditis and after after 3 weeks of antiobiotics, she's doing great. So I say good things happen in threes, and Jessica will be "A OK" and several weeks from now you two will be dancing it up! :)*
