The only good news is: mostly, the equipment we do sell is a generation old (so we can crush it in a 1-1 fight), their training is woefully subpar, and their supply chain for replacement parts is expensive and slow, and mostly controlled by us. (Think back to the fleets of modern fighter planes Iraq had.
