Cost and profiteering is what got us into this mess. Health care has always been private. It wasn't until the hospitals because profit centers for corporations that healthcare costs became unmanageable.
I will fully confess to being biased on this topic, as I once again have to have heart surgery this week, and take another 50K plus hit on my finances. The docs have been farting around since last June, doing test after test and giving me no relief from pain or stress. So right now, I'm not a fan of the medical industry.
