I've been pretty quiet on the list lately, 2011 has been pretty tough so far, My daughter is going to have major surgery in April to reconstruct her trachea, this will facilitate the removal of her tracheostomy tube, this is a good thing, but I really don't want her to have to go through another extended hospital stay..
We laid my father to rest yesterday, for those of you that haven't been following my facebook ramblings, he passed away last Saturday from complications due to Pneumonia. He was comfortable and didn't suffer, and he still had his dignity, which is what we all wanted. We had a small family ceremony where my father's ashes were interred with full military honors. We'll do a memorial service sometime in May. I can't say enough about how supportive my employer has been, alot of companies would respond to all this with "Do you have enough vacation time for this" Fig Leaf has responded with "Go take care of your family".
