Abandon the idea that you are going to read everything.  Imagine it
more like a passing conversation that you occasionally enjoy listening
to.  If you go into Twitter (or Facebook for that matter) thinking
that you are going to miss something if you don't read everything you
will go bananas.

Tune in, watch the information stream by, then turn it back off.  I
view it similar to watching HLN in the mornings while I get ready,
only without Robin Meade.  If I miss a news story on HLN I don't
really care.  Same with missing a tweet.  Interesting, sometimes I
miss something of value, but definitely not critical to see every
story fly by.
