After the financial crisis, Beck was at his best. People watched
because he pulled back the curtain on the inside dealings of DC and
Wall Street that led to the US taxpayer getting stuck with the bill
for the crisis. Advertisers started to dislike him because he called
out big corporate names. He scared off the business-minded people with
his populist anti-corporate talk.

Then he made a huge mistake, IMHO - he put religion front and center
in his show. That scared off the younger, and less religious, viewers
that he might have turned into long term fans.

He has his own media business, so just wait to see where the crazy goes next...
