Not random people, the President. Directly responded. Directly commented and then contrasted and compared. and that's exactly what we needed. People needed to have somebody throw something out to get the conversation started and nothing does that like hyperbole. Now we need a democrat to throw out a plan that cuts defense by 50%. Here's another way to think about it: when we go out to eat if my wife can't pick between things she just randomly selects one and judges her feelings about it. Does she feel loss? Does she feel happy? People don't know how much they truly value something until they consider its loss. Ryan helped everyone do that presenting loss.
