It seems that I am particularly unloved by hardware. I turned on my 'comic
box' to do some related work and the monitor flashed the boot screen for a
moment and then black. I turned the monitor off and on again, another flash
of screen content and then black. Every attempt resulted in the same.
I unplugged the monitor and tried it on a different computer. Same result. I
plugged a different monitor into the comic box. no problem. So now I have a
monitor that will display content for a fraction of a second before dying.
Is the monitor fried? Can it be easily fixed? This is the second monitor for
this computer to go the way of the dark (to be poetic about it).
