Course, I think the Alternative Voting system would give better representation to the people. It will make it more difficult to manipulate votes in marginal constituencies by blitz advertising campaigns, focusing on a few core voting blocks etc. In short, it would have altered the face of politics in the UK and completely upset the status quo.
