Let's take an example from the airline industry, and then you explain how and where government interference is causing unprofitability at home: Every so many cycles aircraft need a "heavy check" which involves tearing down the a/c and then re-building it. Due to all of the labor involved (by licensed A&P mechanics) it's pretty expensive. Well, you can hire Mexican, Asian, or Brazilian A&P Mechs a lot cheaper than in the US thus most airlines outsource their heavy checks.
