Let's take an example from the airline industry, and then you explain
how and where government interference is causing unprofitability at
home:

Every so many cycles aircraft need a "heavy check" which involves
tearing down the a/c and then re-building it.  Due to all of the labor
involved (by licensed A&P mechanics) it's pretty expensive.  Well, you
can hire Mexican, Asian, or Brazilian A&P Mechs a lot cheaper than in
the US thus most airlines outsource their heavy checks.

Originally the government (FAA) would not allow this due to safety
concerns, however after much work most foreign facilities are now
acceptabl
