It's just to the point where I see something that saddens me almost daily.

The one that really sticks out was last fall, i was hitting tennis balls on
a court next to a park, and this young mom was playing on a swing with her
kid, kid was about 3 years old, and they were having a ball. Kid was
laughing up a storm. Awesome stuff. Then the mom's phone rang.

She immediately stopped playing with the kid, told him to wait a
second...and spent hte next 20-30 minutes yapping on the phone while the kid
sat there on the swing. He eventually just sat on the ground and played with
sticks the rest of the time.

I could have slapped her.
