"Very first thing I would do as the victim of a crime. Actually the very
first thing we did when my girlfriend was carjacked and phone (with active
Facebook account) was stolen. Totally normal reaction IMHO."

After contacting the authorities? Regardless, whether cleansing the
accounts first or second, you will eventually contact the authorities (in
the car situation) or twitter in the congressman's situation. Twitter has a
protocol for dealing with hacked accounts. Then, you might want to contact
some type of civil authorities to investigate the hacking. Weiner did
neither. He did call his lawyer though.

"A vague non-specific photo of a crotch? I also cannot say for sure that
the photo is not me - am I now involved?"

I can tell you with 100% certainty that any crotch shots sent via twitter or
facebook or any other electronic media or traditional method to anyone in
the world are not of me. So, while I know I am not involved, maybe you are
:)

In the end, nothing good can come from self pictures of your genitalia. The
situation will definitely get worse if these photos are transmitted to a
young lady (or man).

"I still don't see it..."

Ehhh. It's all there. All he needs to do is make the denial public. He
won't do it. His wording tries to imply innocence without definitively
stating it (he should be good at double speak after 6 terms). Why? You
can't be accused of lying with probabilities.

If you were innocent of an incident like this, wouldn't you shout it at the
top of your lungs? "It isn't me!"
