"Just becasue Dems may be better at hiding it does not mean none of them
would get caught."

It's not even an issue of hiding it.

When a member of one party is caught in a bad situation, there is nonstop
coverage from 75+% of the media. Then, the event will be drug up for years
afterwards to make obscure points. To compound the lopsidedness, the
offending members actions will be used to paint the whole party, even if the
rest of the party condemns the actions.

When a member of the other party is caught in a bad situation, the media
ignores it. It is so quickly swept under the rug that no one remembers it
years down the road. This offending members actions are never used to paint
the whole party. This person is an exception, even if the party supports
the perpetrator wholeheartedly.

Despite the National Inquirer's best efforts, it took the rest of the media
a year to investigate Johnny Reid "Father of the Year" Edwards.

And this happens in issues outside of sex scandal.

I suspect that true journalism would put the US citizens in a state of
shock. They wouldn't know what to think of unslanted stories.
