Yep. In most games I have watched, I have seen more 'dives' than goals. > > Going to ground after a foul and diving are two different things. I was not trying not make it sem like I though Team USA was innocent - if I did, I apologize. This is more about the sport in general. And, yes, I would say she is just as guilty of cheating (in my mind) as anyone else. I feel the same way about players on the New York Giants (my team) who try to 'sell' a pass interference call or 'go to the ground' when pushed by an opposing player after the play. > > I do get your point though, and I would like diving to be removed from the > sport. I have tried, honestly I have. I just can't get past the bullshit - to me, the flagrant attempt at cheating is just...deplorable. I have had conversations with people who discount American football because of the 'protective equipment' the players are required to wear or because of the 'stoppage of play' after each play - both of which are governed by the rules - but have no issues with 'taking a dive' - which is, technically, a violation of the rules - or so I am told. :D -- Scott Stroz --------------- You can make things happen, you can watch things happen or you can wonder what the f*&k happened. - Cpt.
