I was just watching a video on Nat Geo...for an earthquake to go to the next higher number it has to be 30 times more powerful.

Looks like we got off easy in terms of loss of life. Same magnitude as the Hait quake 2 years ago. I guess we get to see how good Jefferson was as an architect.
