He has pancreatic cancer and  it looks like the cancer is taking him.
My partner's mother died last week from pancreatic cancer and my
step-son died a coupe of years ago from it.  It's a nasty disease and
I suspect the pain has become debilitating.  Real shame.

This is his statement:
"I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer
meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first
to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come," wrote Jobs, who
has been on medical leave since January.
