Stumbled across an interesting report in New Scientist about a new
study in complex systems analysis that has taken new steps in figuring
out the web of interconnections in multinational corporations. Based
on their analysis, 147 multinationals end up controlling about 60
percent of global revenues. It has some interesting consequences for
economic stability and how things react to disturbances (like the
financial collapse).

Not the final word or anything but an interesting place to start
taking a quantitative look at the global financial web.
