over the hill? You're in Orange County, right? Not sure what the temperature has been here at night. If I leave my window open I usually need a blanket, shrug. Low 50s? Then it's cloudy from oh dawn until 8 usually, 10 on a bad day, and invariably blue-sky gorgeous until dark. High sixties maybe. Occasional haze. I spent the day doing stuff in flip-flops, slacks and a polo shirt. Minus the car I might have appreciated a light jacket maybe... as it was I ran the AC for a few minutes in the car at one point.
The thing I like is that you don't get the cold marine layer they get along the coast at night, because the mountains block it. Nor do you get the mind-bending summer heat they get in the Central Valley, because the *other* mountains block *that*. We have orange trees in fruit, lots of flowers in bloom, and bright orange and yellow foliage. Today. Just got in from it. Then there is the fact that it's Silicon Valley, whole other set of things in its favor there.
