The two great lenses to observe human behavior are money and danger; everyone
has some different level of action based on a different level of input.

There's a great model describing human behavior as the sum of individual "apps"
all looking for dominance - our personalities are thus a description of which
apps are winnng at any given time.

Take s3x: There's a Cal study that depicts motivation in, say, political
candidates who oppose legal marijuana use vs those who favor legalization.

Turns out, those in opposition are subconsciously trying to control s3xual
behavior: they correlate legal drug use with promiscuity which they fear
deprives them of possible partners.
