Less than 4% of the services provided by Planned Parenthood involve abortion. The other services they do provide likely prevent more abortions than all the rhetoric from the opposition. What is not being said is that most of the opposition, especially that funded by the Catholic church, is not just opposed to abortion but to any contraception at all. That is their true objection to Planned Parenthood. Abortion is just the lightening rod, and the political tool they use because their PR people realize that opposing contraception won't fly with most of the public.
