Are they asking for a domain evaluation to find a fair price? If so, it is probably a scam. You foot the bill for the domain name review through the one suggested and you never hear from them again.
Warning signs 1. They ask you to pay for a domain name assessment 2. It is through someone they suggest 3. They poo-poo on well known/respected domain name resellers like Afternic. These are usually form E-mails. If you Google the name or some of the next, you might find a match.
